Hand Care

Are you looking for hand care tips? Well then, you are a smart cookie! Taking care of your hands can slow down the appearance of aging. With my recent big birthday, I've been thinking about my hand care and what I need to do start doing!

Your hands have some of the most vulnerable skin on your body since they are constantly exposed to the environment. Do you drive a car? Wash your hands? Take care of children? Go outside? All of these normal activities work our hands because we use them all the time! This exposure results in your skin having brown spots and thinning skin that looks creepy.  That's why we all need hand care.

Hand Care Tips

On my last birthday, I was thinking how my grandmother was about my age when she first became had grandchildren. Now at the ripe old age of 89, she still lives by herself. Her spots on her hands show the many hours in the sun that she spent gardening for years.  Since I have two year old twins, I know that I'm going to need to keep active like she did so I can meet my grandchildren! So how do I care for my hands so they don't look older than I am? Here are some hand care tips that I've been using and so should you...

Hand Care Tips

  1. Double up! Use a hand care treatment that not only moisturizes, but that also actively works on brightening your skin. Keeping your steps simple means that you're more likely to use it. The more you use it, the better your results.
  2. Sunscreen! The brown spots that develop with age come occur because of sun damage. Use a sunscreen before you go out in the sun for prevention. Put your sunscreen where you are most likely to be before you go out in the sun...your purse, your car, your office desk, etc. Don't skip this step of hand care!
  3. Wear gloves! In the winter pull on those cozy gloves to keep your hands insulated from the cold. When summer comes, use them before you dig in your garden. Then, pull on those awesome rubber gloves if you love hand washing dishes. <== If that's you then you are awesome.

Our hands are such a key part of living our life. If you're like me, then you want to live your life to the fullest. By doing some simple hand care, we can keep our hands looking like we feel on the inside.  Using a combination moisturizer and treatment, applying sunscreen and wearing gloves are easy hand care tips to start now.

Are you ready to start?

xoxo Jen
